Film Showing and Panel Discussion
The award-winning documentary film The Wanted 18 will be presented Sunday, November 13, 2016, 2:00-4:30 p.m. at the United Church of Christ of Annapolis, 8 Carvel Circle, Edgewater, MD. A panel discussion and light refreshments will follow the film showing.
In this humorous and thought-provoking film, directors Amer Shomali and Paul Cowan bring to life a remarkable story of nonviolent resistance in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, through animation and live action. The perceived threats to Israel’s national security are 18 dairy cows in the West Bank during the first intifada in 1987. This is a poignant film about nation-building from the bottom up -- by the people, not the politicians.
