On Wednesday, June 29, come meet courageous Israelis and Palestinians (ages 21-31) who are in Washington with New Story Leadership's 7th annual summer program. At home they face physical, societal, and psychological barriers to meeting and befriending "the other." Here they live in pairs, work together, and learn critical skills in empathetic listening, dialogue, and cooperation. All will be introduced that evening; four will share their personal stories, the challenges they face, and their visions for the future. The program will be followed by a reception with light refreshments. Time: 7-9 pm. Location: St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Capitol Hill, 301 A Street SE. Sponsored by the church's Mid-East Working Group, this event is free and open to all. Bios for NSL’s 2016 team can be found at www.newstoryleadership.org.
