Concerned about efforts to target and profile communities of color, especially Muslims? Join a teach-in on Saturday, January 14th at the Westmoreland UCC in Bethesda from 2 to 4PM to learn about the domestic war on terror, the local and federal efforts that could threaten and undermine the rights of Muslim communities in our area, and to identify solidarity activities and next steps. The teach-in will be led by Dr. Maha Hilal, Executive Director of the National Coalition to Protect Civil Freedoms, Deepa Iyer (Senior Fellow at the Center for Social Inclusion and author of We Too Sing America), and Arjun Sethi (Civil Rights Columnist & Adjunct Professor of Law, Georgetown University Law Center).
