Kindle Justice: Stand with Muslims against Islamophobia & Racism

As part of a national week of action coordinated by JVP during Chanukah, JVP chapters across the country took a stand with our Muslim allies against Islamophobia. We began our protest by applying pressure to oust the Clarion Project, an Islamophobic hate group, from their offices one block from the White House at 1717 Pennsylvania Ave. NW. We called attention to its several mainstream Jewish community supporters and demanded that they end their financial support for institutionalized Islamophobia.  Afterward, we marched to the White House, where we held a large rally to stand with Muslim communities against Islamophobia and racism. Refusers Vigil

As a part of International Prisoners for Peace Day, JVP - DC Metro joined with our friends the Refuser Solidarity Network to support Israeli refusers Tamar Alon and Tamar Ze'evi by coming together for a vigil at the White House. This demonstration was in solidarity with the growing stream of Israeli conscientious objectors, as like them, we refuse to take part in the occupation and refuse to have any profit from it.
